The Evanston Green Living Festival is an annual event happening this Saturday, September 24. It’s put on by the Evanston Environmental Association (EEA) and the City of Evanston. The festival is held to present green products, services and ideas that will help attendees lower their carbon footprint. For more information, visit EvanstonGreenFest.org.
Every Evanston resident is invited to this community picnic at Ingraham Park, located just west of the Morton Civic Center on August 28 from noon till 5p. The fun includes a NEW 3-on-3 basketball tournament, a performance by the Jesse White Tumblers, two entertainment stages, balloon art, face painting, a dunk tank, bingo and board games. CFL lightbulbs will be distributed free of charge. Children enrolled in School Districts #65 and 202 will receive a backpack and school supplies, as supplies last.*

It’s that time again! The Evanston Environmental Association’s Duck Rack and Pluck will take place this Saturday, August 13, at Dawes Park. Sponsor one duck for $10, or a “Quack Pack” of three for $25. Ducks are floated in the lagoon, and then winners are chosen. You can take your ducky home after the race.
