Free Gift with $100 Purchase at Notice!

November 10, 2011 under Shopping

Usually, a $100 threshold for a gift isn’t really going to incentivize me to do much…however, at Notice, they have such great taste and style, that it’s hard NOT to spend $100!  Just last week I wandered down Central St. to pick up my dry cleaning, and popped into Notice to have a looksee.  Twenty minutes later I left with a brand new Tokyo Boy watch.  Gray with orange colored contrast stitching.  I love it.

Shop at Notice the weekend of December 3-4, and spend $100, you’ll get a free gift!  Notice is located at 2112 Central St.  For more info, give them a quick call at 847-905-0947.

Best Water Bottle Ever

July 9, 2011 under Shopping

I love lightweight aluminum bottles, but after they’ve been in the sun for awhile, the water inside gets all lukewarm and metallic.  Not my favorite.  And, while the lightweight benefit of these bottles is great for camping or hiking, for nice easy urban commuting, I prefer glass bottles.  They’re dishwasher safe, so I’m more comfortable putting my juice in them, and you can actually see what you’re drinking, which is nice.  They’re about the same price as the aluminum ones too.  I’ve been using the ones below from Lifefactory for the last two weeks, and I *heart* them!

The Stroller to End All Strollers

June 21, 2011 under Shopping

So I’m stuck at that in-between stage where I travel a lot for my job, but I still want to settle down and make a ton of babies.  (Okay, I know that the “grass is greener” saying is always in effect here in Evanston, but yes, I would still like to be on the parenting side of parenting these days).  ANYWAY, I was at O’Hare when I overheard a conversation about strollers.  And apparently, this is the best one because it is light, transportable, and you can both stroll *and* jog at the same time.  Given that I’m not knocked up yet, those are still the qualities that I’d look for as it were.
